Max Goodman
Max Goodman is a Junior Remote Sensing Scientist working to ensure data quality, reliability, and scalability in Cloud to Street's mapping products. He is an alumnus of the International Sustainable Development Studies Institute and Columbia University, where he graduated with a BA in Sustainable Development focusing on sustainability management and GIS analytics. Max was a member of Project Drawdown’s inaugural cohort of undergraduate scholars, where he used remote sensing to quantitatively capture the tradeoff between albedo-based warming and carbon-based cooling in high-latitude afforestation. Professionally, he is interested in how remote sensing can inform both disaster response and long-term land use planning for carbon sequestration and climate resilience. He is also fascinated by the nexus of economics, psychology, and ethics in sustainability decision-making Max has authored an op-ed on Why We Need Climate Stoicism to Overcome Climate Despair, and you can read more about Max's project on his personal website.
